The last day in March!

John and Susan worked on replanting and planting seed today with a steady flow of customers to meet.  I'm working on inventory and paperwork and putting all of our vendors together.  We have more ordering to do and some work to get ready for the weekend.  We will be open Friday 9-5, Saturday 9-5, and Sunday 10-2 for Easter gifts/cards/flowers!  Monday I will go to pick up Willow and Violet with my niece Sedona who is driving up here with her mom and brother from Carolina.  I am so excited to see my sister and Sedona and Aidan - yeah!  It will be so much fun to go get the bunnies with them!

My plan is to go to bed early tonight and try to make up for lost sleep.  Wish me luck!  Be well!

March 29, 2010

Tonight we planted seeds and got flats ready for the plugs arriving tomorrow - over 4000 vegetable plants will be added by tomorrow night plus several hundred seed plantings. Tonight I did 8 flats of Crimson Sweet Watermelon, John did herbs, and Susan filled flat after flat with soil in preparation for tomorrow. Thank goodness sister Carrie is on her way up from Carolina next week to help with our Aidan and Sedona!  Sedona will also help me pick up and care for Willow and Violet - our 2 angora bunnies who will be just ready to adopt!  This past weekend for the grand opening I was able to temporarily care for a friends bunnies so i could have them at the grand opening - since Willow and Violet were a little later on the arrival than I anticipated.  I had no idea bunnies had such personalities!  What a sweet couple of bunnies they were, little lop ears.  Now I'm even more excited to meet my own little girls!  I know they will be a lot of work to care for but I can't wait to get started!  Be well!

SUPER WEEKEND!

No pictures today, sorry, I was so busy I forgot!  My sister helped me with my quickbooks and my inventory counts, Chase and Susan counted inventory to ensure we got it all right!  Helen and Denny helped out with the food and coffee!  And my mom and dad picked up more flowers for us in the morning because we sold out Saturday!  Tomorrow it is back to my FT job for me with some errands for inventory in the evening!  Thank you all soooo much for your support, you are what made this weekend a blast!  Be well!

One work day left!!!!

One work day left until the grand opening. Everything is looking wonderful, we are so proud. I think people will be surprised at what we've done in there. The best part of this whole adventure is all the fantastic artists we've met and the incredibly hard working and kind and generous farmers we've met!  And they are all right here, in our little state, incredible people everywhere, doing there own thing and doing it well!

Here are some pictures of landscaping getting done by Helen, the roof lifting, Chase working on our back garden, and Sarah's Satchels all in a row!
